Oztek developed a special interest in piano teaching during his undergraduate studies at Lawrence. He studied piano pedagogy with Mary Van De Loo who recognised his affinity for teaching and shortly after offered him a position at Lawrence Academy of Music (Junior Lawrence).

In 2011, Oztek began teaching at the Bromley Youth Music Trust where he quickly built up his teaching studio. He is a sought-after piano tutor who leads a busy teaching schedule both privately and at schools. He currently teaches piano at Dulwich College in London, Roedean School in Brighton, and Langley Park School for Boys in Beckenham.

Oztek is also one of the tutors at BYMT's Summer International Piano School where he is also Head of Operations and Pastoral Care.
